Hi Allie,
A very warm welcome to our forum.
I am so sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, along with the additional challenges that you are facing. I am glad to hear that you now have extra care for your son. I am sure that you have already been told that it is impossible to predict how you are going to cope with chemo in advance. Some seem to succumb to side-effects, but others sail through it. A lot depends upon what type of chemo you have, so make sure to ask when you discuss this on Thursday. Also make sure to mention that you are your son's principal carer, if you haven't already done this.
I hope that you are recovering well after your surgery. Would Macmillan be able to help you out with additional care if needed? They should certainly be able to advise you, as this is not a unique situation. Unfortunately, none of us here can help you out with this, but rest assured that now that you've found us, you need never be alone, as we are always here for virtual support.
I sincerely hope that you get good news on Thursday.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
