Had a biopsy, gave me a U4 which means the ultrasound radiologist is suspicious about the lesion and suspects cancer. I was told results would take 2-3 weeks, today is week 2 and now I know that phone call could come at any time I am very wobbly.  Will it be to arrange an telephone appointment or a face to face, that scares me too.

Thank you.  Kind of hoping its a telephone consultation, that would mean it probably isn't bad news - that's my thought process anyway.

Thank you.  If I hear nothing tomorrow, then I know it will be sometime next week so at least I won't have to jump when the phone rings over the weekend.

Most surgeons like to give results face-to-face, irrespective of the outcome. Others are just too busy to do this and give results by phone or letter. I hope that you hear soon and that it turns out to be benign. Please keep in touch and let us know when you hear. We are always here for you.

It's hard not to worry if it's a face to face though. The breast nurse told me on the phone the other day that on average they look at 130 cases a week at the 2 weekly MDT meetings they have. Will definitely let you know the results. I will either want you to celebrate with me or will be needing support for the foreseeable future. Thank you.
