Hi, I’m in the same situation as you. Biopsy on left breast, turned out to be a cyst but then I was called back in a week later as they were concerned about the right breast. I have extremely dense tissue apparently. Anyway, 3 biopsies done and ultrasound and 2 more mammograms and doctor said ‘we need to be prepared that this may be cancer’. So I have to wait another 8 days. I’m 46 with an 8yr old daughter. I also have Graves Disease and have (foolishly?!) been googling wether there is a link…

I’m going to have a girly pamper night this evening with my daughter to hopefully help. Cheesy films and eating whatever I like until I get these results. Fingers crossed for you all that are going hrough the same thing as me ️

Had a biopsy, gave me a U4 which means the ultrasound radiologist is suspicious about the lesion and suspects cancer. I was told results would take 2-3 weeks, today is week 2 and now I know that phone call could come at any time I am very wobbly.  Will it be to arrange an telephone appointment or a face to face, that scares me too.

Thank you.  Kind of hoping its a telephone consultation, that would mean it probably isn't bad news - that's my thought process anyway.

Thank you.  If I hear nothing tomorrow, then I know it will be sometime next week so at least I won't have to jump when the phone rings over the weekend.

Most surgeons like to give results face-to-face, irrespective of the outcome. Others are just too busy to do this and give results by phone or letter. I hope that you hear soon and that it turns out to be benign. Please keep in touch and let us know when you hear. We are always here for you.

It's hard not to worry if it's a face to face though. The breast nurse told me on the phone the other day that on average they look at 130 cases a week at the 2 weekly MDT meetings they have. Will definitely let you know the results. I will either want you to celebrate with me or will be needing support for the foreseeable future. Thank you.

Hi… I’m in the same position, had a mammogram and biopsy 2 weeks ago tomorrow…. I received a letter which was a copy of the letter to the dr to say what they had done… I had U (with a number) I can’t remember what now, and I’m at work… but I had no idea what these meant…. Tbh, I’m feeling positive, but maybe that’s just me being naive and not thinking of any alternative…. I was told 7-10 days for results and I’ve still not heard anything so I’m taking that as positive xxx big hugs xx
