Mum is dying of cancer

Hey,

I'm struggling on which way to turn. My mum has been battling myeloma cancer for 5yrs. She has not been giving weeks to live. I just feel so numb. I am trying to keep things normal. I am also meant to be getting married on August but I just can't even think of that anymore.
I know this might sound stupid but I feel like I'm grieving even though she is still here?
Not even sure what I want out of writing this, just think I need to vent xxx

  • Hi Iam new to this site. My Mum had bowel cancer last year and had surgery to remove half her bowel we were told it was a gold star operation and they removed more bowel than they needed to. But she felt unwell after Christmas and ended up in hospital with a really nasty gallbladder infection, they scanned her and found the cancer had returned in her bowel and she had mets in her liver we have been told she has weeks left and I can't come to terms with it . I lost my dad 7 months ago to prostate cancer can't believe this is happening again. Sorry for the rant

  • I'm sorry [@daisydog]‍ I read your post and it made me really sad. The fact you've just lost your dad 7 months ago and your mum has been told this is so devastating. All I can say is I'm thinking of you, and sending strength to you at this time. Lots of love xxx

  • Sending you strength [@daisydog]‍ during this difficult time.

I lost my Mum to lung cancer on 15th May and my Dad has also passed so I can empathise with losing both parents.

I hope you have people around you to supper you right now and I'm here if you need to talk/vent.

Thinking of you and sending virtual hugs x
