Last stages of life

My Mum has lung cancer and was given just weeks to live a few months ago. She’s remarkably still here now, although it sucks that she’s suffering so much. Since December when she was at her worst she has improved slightly as in she has become slightly more mobile and is now on less oxygen but over the last week or so she’s been a lot more tired. I guess Ive been fearing the worse for months and every slight thing that gets worse I panic. What are the last stages of life? Will I know when the end is near? Thanks.

  • Hi Lovely

Sorry to hear about your mum

I lost my big sister 2 weeks ago she had cervical cancer which was in her lungs too

Everyone seems to have different experiences my beautiful big sis stopped eating and drinking 2 days before but then a couple of hours before she left us she managed water and 3/4 of a milkshake

Her chest went quite bad which they kept trying to give an injection to help but it didn't. Me her daughter and her partner stayed with her that night as her breathing was not good and it seemed to take all her strength to breathe. The minute the last of us went to sleep my big sister did too peacefully.

    Thoughts are with you
