Sorry about your brother its beyond annoying seem to be indemic in the nhs slow lets wait and see mistakms camoren did a top down organisation of nhs he should have concentrated at the top my partner liz was so so let down we had to chase up scans they missdiagnosed her shes gone now and i dont wish the rotters well they earn enough how they get away with it there seems to be no accountability anymore sorry about rant but ime so so sorry your brothers been let down i wonder how many poor people on here have gone through what your family are going through you realy have my best wish and hope some treatment can help .p

Oh my ... they want to hang their heads in shame ... I know there's lots of good done by so many oncology teams ... mine included ... and not taking nothing away from them ... but angry wouldn't express what I feel listening to your thread ... I'm so lost for words ... something needs to be done to stop that happening to any one else ... but that doesn't help your brother ... 

My heart goes out to you and esp him ... that's around my son's ages ... and I can't even start to say how that makes me feel ... cancer sucks ... but that wait he had is even more crule ..

It’s so unfair! I still feel like this is all one big nightmare and I’m about to wake from it!

when the oncologist told him the cancer was too far gone for treatment now my brother said how long do I have, they said weeks, in his next breath they basically said where do you want your final days, hospice or at home. I mean omg!!! You just told him nothing can be done, how dare you ask him where he wants to die almost in the same sentence, it’s unbelievable!!!

i will take this further, right to the top, with my every last breath!!! I want accountability, I want them to admit they let my brother down, they let his children down his whole family down!

im so so angry!!

we are now introducing him to alternatives. “Hope” is better than nothing.

Let's hope anything you try will give him longer then those xxxxx said ... you never know ... lots have pushed those limits ... but one thing I will say .. is grab every day ... make as many memories with him you can ... you'll have time to fight in his corner ... but for now live in the day .. don't look ahead then it becomes over whelming .... channel that anger in to making every day count ..

Thank you! That’s good advice, all my energy’s are focused on being there for my brother and his family when they need me the most, that’s right now!

it kinda makes me sick that the nhs would value some people’s lives more important than others! I’m sure if it was a young royal in my brothers position it wouldn’t be sorry nothing more we can do.

im just angry beyond words right now and struggling to accept things.

just need to focus on my little bro at the moment!

Just to update people, my brother passed away last night, 8 nov 2018 age 41.

4months from diagnosis to passing.

So sorry to read about your brother's death and the way that he and your family were so badly let down by the NHS.

I’m so sorry to hear about your brother. My husband was too let down by the GP and NHS and lost his life on 26 July aged 46 leaving me with an 8 and 3 year old to look after. I have raised formal complaints against GP and the hospital. I know how you feel they have some fantastic tests and treatments available but it’s not being  able to access these tests and be treated earlier enough that is the problem.
