About starcatone

Hello xx My mum was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer a few years ago (NSCLC). By the time her cancer was found, it had spread to both lungs and her liver. Being a non-smoker, the GP did not deem her chronic cough to be anything serious. She had become very poorly and lost a lot of weight when my cousin took her to A&E. There, they found a ‘shadow’ on her lung. This was confirmed as cancer when Mum and my cousin attended a meeting at the hospital a few days later. Mum was admitted to hospital immediately (she actually went the next day as she wanted to go home after being told she had cancer....that turned out to be her last night at home). When she was in hospital, they drained large amount of fluid from her lungs which made her feel miles better. Sadly, we lost her to complications only three weeks after diagnosis and before chemotherapy could commence. Shocking to have lost her so suddenly but...in a selfish way...I did not want to see her suffer from treatment and advanced cancer xx Have also had my own experience of an urgent 2W referral to dermatology (thankfully, turned out to be nothing) xx
