I can’t cope, so scared of losing my wife. Together 28 years

I'm so absolutely scared of losing my wife of 28 years to breast cancer....... we have an appointment tomorrow with the oncologist ...... we do everything together and I'm so scared , frightened...... I'm 52 , my wife 57 , no children.......basically I'm going to be alone, I know I won't be able to work, I'm barely functioning in work now....... to lose the love of my life would be unbearable, I have panic attacks now just thinking about it......... to see my wife not well is so tough........ I don't know what to do I'm crying all the time when I'm alone....... I have never lived on my own...... and having no family is tough really tough, the friends we have all are busy with work, I don't know what to do

  • Hi I'm a 7 year down the line breast cancer girl . Diagnosed at 47 , large tumour with lymph node involvement , I'm a nurse and was worried also about my children and work . Oncology and Breast nurse told me give yourself 1 year to get through all the treatment , take one day at a time , easy for them to say but I felt I'd benn run over by a bus , your thoughts and emotions go everywhere . I did get a grip though once a plan was in place I also joined a Breast cancer forum where others were at same stage of treatment , we are from all over the country but are still friends . Breast cancer treatment is well funded and has come along way from the 1980/90s . There is hope , you will still laugh at things you have to plough on and be there for each other , take care x
