Yes unfortunately. My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer spread to liver on 29 April 2020, he died 18 May 2020. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. He was only 61.
the pain is unbearable, I'm sorry you too are going through this.
I just read this thread and so sorry for everyone's loss and loved ones pain and suffering to this vicious disease... this is one of the seldom posts that I just had to respond to cause I think what you're saying is so right... it is true we listen to so many adverts that until cancer is diagnosed close to home, you think people can live a long time with this god awful disease. But the reality for so many is that as you said we are still stuck in the dark ages with a cure!! When my Husband who was 44 when diagnosed was told he had lung and secondary's that it was incurable I didn't think we would loose him 7 months later at 45...it's heartbreaking and I like you guys am struggling to get through this... just glad we lived life to the full during our life together but feel robbed of out future... thinking of you all and maybe one day nobody will have to go through what we and our loved one have
We lost my husband a few weeks ago at age 44, my eldest daughter turns 13 today and has been robbed of her Dad, my youngest was 9 last week. We have all had our futures with him stolen from us, it is so unfair and wrong...we watched a strong fit man waste quickly away to nothing, he fought for a year and was only diagnosed by accident, no symptoms really and it was already in his liver, how can this evil thing have been getting away with this for centuries and noone can stop it? It's certainly time it was nipped in the bud! Should be more of a priority then sending people into space if you ask me!
