Hi, I lost my fantastic mum of 80 years 2 weeks ago to breast cancer, she was diagnosed 10 months ago after having spent nearly 18 months going to doctors because she felt unwell, the sad part of this is I feel it could have been prevented as she had had breast cancer twice before, she had a masectomy in 1976, then it came back in the same place in 2000,she had radiation treatment and 5 years on hormone therapy, and then in sept 2017 same place again only this time she had a huge mass on her chest, she also had liver and bone mets, she was also taken to A +E in March 2017,with terrible rib pain and pain when she breathed in and they diagnosed her with constipation! I just find it so unbelievable that this could happen that they could miss it especially with someone who had a history of breast cancer, needless to say I'm finding it very difficult to manage with life without my precious mum, just wondered if anyone else out there had had the same experience of being misdiagnosed.
