Hi Kathy. - how are you doing today? X
Hi Kathy,
Mrs B is quite well thank you but says trying to get me to behave is almost impossible and a full time job. This after I bought her a cushion with a snowy owl on it yesterday. I had to take my car in for repairs and bought her four things but nothing for myself. My nut shop was closed as they are moving to another shop just round the corner. I told her all she has to do is offer to bake me some cheese straws and I will have to behave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you are feeling a bit better today Kathy. It is often the case that we can talk to our forum buddies but find it's not so easy with friends and family. Take care and no doubt will talk again soon, Brian.
Hi Kathy,
Havent spoken for a while so just thought I would let you know Mrs B has blackmailed me into sending for a large bunch of Carnations fo her for Valentines day by telling me if I did she would bake me some heart shaped CHEESE BICUITS. Well, you know how much I love them so I had no option but to obey. They are really tasty, not that I'm trying to make your mouth water, you understand for I wouldnt dream of teasing.
I hope you are keeping well and wish you a great weekend. Best wishes, Brian.

Hi Brian, have been off line for a few days and had grandson for last 36 hrs which was great fun. The cheese bickies sound great mmmmm. Just turned the cooler off in prep for bed. It was 41 tdy and down to 28 overnight. I just laugh at the bellyachers as they will be bellyaching again when winter hits.
The littlies had great fun playing with buckets of water, plastic cups and water balloons. The simple things in life....
Take care and best wishes to Mrs B.

Hi Kathy
Just wanted to drop by your own thread to wish you a lovely family get-together. Having read on another thread that your family's flight was delayed do hope they 'connected' okay and you are now all together. Can just imagine the bubbling excitement and chattering going on. Shall look forward to hearing all the wedding/family updates in due time but in the meantime just have wonderful fun. Sounds like you may not need the air-con but will make it less of a 'weather shock' to your visitors - we just about reached 17 last couple of days and it really brought the garden to life (lots of bulbs now colourful and the garden birds very busy feeding, mating and nesting - plenty to see out of the window!
Take care and enjoy your family event. Looks like your Mum will enjoy 2 mother's days (if I remember its a different date over in Aus (its the 15th March here so my Mum gets two visits this week ha ha).
Sending hugs Jules xx
Morning Jules,
Just getting ready to pack for trip away. I am having such fun with family, they got here ok and the years have just fallen off me. They are all quite bonkers which is great. Mum is amazingly well and not having the aches and pains she has at home probably due to the warmth. Sis is doing ok following healthy eating for her liver issues which doc thinks it related to her diabetes. Her walking issues are not as bad...once again the heat will be helping.
Still working on speech but not stressing. Discovered as per protocol I will need to dance with brides father after the young ones take to the floor....what happens if I burst into the highland fling?? Wonder if he can do the "bump" or head banging??? No I must behave myself...
Ok dear friend I will sign off and get moving.
Big hugs xx
Hi Kathy
Dont suppose you will be on here whilst you have the celebrations going on but was so pleased to read how good your mother was after the long haul trip - amazing women runs in the family I think. Am sure you are right that the warmer weather will be helping with all the aches and pains and with the pleasure of a family reunion much nicer things to do and talk about than ailments. Your speech will be just fine, your outfit will suit you and the 'cheesey wedding cake' a triumph (though they may find you under a table hoarding it!!). Enjoy the moment and look forward to hearing all about it in due course. Hugs returned.Jules xx
