I’m 26 and lost my Mum 6 months ago - heartbroken and looking to chat with people who are in a similar position

Hi, I’m Alice, age 26. I lost my Mum (and very best friend) in November 2024 to Breast Cancer.  She was unlucky enough to have suffered with two different types of cancer in her 55 years of life, but it was secondary breast cancer which we ultimately lost her to.

Heartbroken doesn’t cover it. I am an only child and my Dad isn’t in the picture.. she was my absolute best friend and our bond was unbreakable.

I am learning to carry on and keep smiling without her, but it’s so very hard. I’m hoping to meet a community of people in a similar position to me, so we can chat and support each other.

Sending love to anyone else currently struggling with a loss ️
