My Mum has incurable lung cancer - surgery in Sept 18, Radiotherapy Nov/Dec 18 and chemo Jan-April 19, supposed to be starting immunotherapy in two weeks.
Her last scan was 4 weeks ago and had shown cancer spread to lymph node and around the air ways in the same lung, not to liver or stomach etc. But she is waiting for an appointment for brain CT. Because she has gotten more tired etc within 2 weeks of them last seeing her, my Mum's oncologist wanted her to start immunotherapy asap and that's why it is the 14th August.
She has been incurable since January due to fluid - this was drained and it hasn't built up since but her last was obviously bad.
She's had such a rough few weeks in terms of nausea etc but especially today
How am I supposed to tell if it's just her symptoms in general that MAY ease with immunotherapy or if she is starting to deteriorate. I have heard a lot of people have had family members that have deteriorated within days, it worries me so much.
I am heartbroken...my Mum is my best friend
