  • Hi Trish, welcome to the forum, but so sorry for the reason you are here. You sure have received a double whammy - both parents diagnosed with this terrible disease - and both at the same time. How bad can it get? I do hope you have other family members to support you through this as it isn't something you should be doing on your own. I wish there was something I could say to ease the pain of what is happening for you, but what can one say, except that my heart goes out to you. You will certainly find caring and support from others on this forum, so you have come to the right place. Come on here at any time just to vent and cry, or do whatever you need to do. Its' not the same as having us there physically, but it is certainly sincere and genuine from people who understand what you're going through.

My husband's both parents were diagnosed with cancer at the same time when they were in their 50's and they died within 2 months of each other. Back then, however, the medical system didn't know nearly as much about treating cancer as they do now, so don't despair yet as there may be some help for your parents to get through this.

    Sending you virtual hugs.  XXXX
