Colonoscopy prep

So I did everything correct for the colonoscopy prep but only a bit of diarrhoea. Took it over 4 hours ago and only been 3 times . Drinking loads of water and a coffee with help? It’s still murky looking . I have to ensure it’s clear . I don’t want to wait any longer for this procedure to find out if I have cancer but I know they may cancel if my diarrhoea is not clear . More prep to take in the morning . Should I be clear tonight though ?

    I am sorry to hear you are needing to have some investigations carried out. I have a feeling as you posted this a couple of days ago you have hopefully had the colonoscopy successfully yesterday and everything turned out okay.

    Bowel prep usually starts to work within a couple of hours after taking the first dose and then continues to work until you have completed the treatment. If you complete the course this should be good enough to clear the bowel so the lining can be seen by the doctor or nurse carrying out the procedure.

    As the bowel is emptied people will start noticing the stools becoming a more yellow liquid consistency.
