I don't know that it becomes completely clear but it certainly becomes completely liquid! If you're on bowel prep you should only be having clear drinks ie no milk in that coffee.

Of course no milk . So it was totally clear this morning each time and then I went for a walk and came home . Went to the toilet and now it’s not as clear ! I need this colonoscopy done 

I have to day I've never managed to leave the house during bowel prep times! Hope you have your procedure and results aren't too scary.

I am sorry to hear you are needing to have some investigations carried out. I have a feeling as you posted this a couple of days ago you have hopefully had the colonoscopy successfully yesterday and everything turned out okay.

Bowel prep usually starts to work within a couple of hours after taking the first dose and then continues to work until you have completed the treatment. If you complete the course this should be good enough to clear the bowel so the lining can be seen by the doctor or nurse carrying out the procedure.

As the bowel is emptied people will start noticing the stools becoming a more yellow liquid consistency.
