Hi Bal and welcome to the forum though sorry you have to be here. A lot of guys get retention issues after RT It's called Irritative voiding, and symptoms do settle over time, I was the same, peeing very little but often and the less urine i passed the more discomfort i felt especially in the gland. Bal there is also a small chance you may have a urethral stricture or nerve damage so please see your doctor. I did and was given tamulosin and told to drink plenty of water and went from peeing for maybe a second to 4 seconds in about a week, doesn't sound much i know, but it makes a big difference to getting out and about, best wishes
Eddie
Hello and thank you for your post.
I am sorry to hear that you have recently completed radiotherapy for prostate cancer.
Your current symptoms may be related to the radiotherapy you had . They could get better, particularly if increasing how much you drink helps. However, if they don't or if you are worried then do speak with your cancer team, in particular your cancer nurse specialist. I say this because these could be symptoms of an infection, as these can happen during and after treatment has finished.
You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Caroline
