I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the lack of explanation concerning your past and current treatment for prostate cancer. 

If you have a prostate cancer clinical nurse specialist (CNS), based at the hospital, you could contact them with your concern. Otherwise there is also the option of using the hospital PALS team (patient advice and liason service). They are there to look into patient's concerns, and can help answer questions, or arrange a meeting to discuss things with your specialist team.

Obviously, as a nurse, I cannot comment about medical decisions, and treatment rationales. Suffice to say, that radiotherapy can usually only be given once to a specific area of the body, and is not a treatment that can generally be repeated in the same body area, in the future. So, sometimes, it is a question of when it is best overall to consider giving a treatment to achieve the best results. This will vary patient to patient.

My experience with Pals , well i would only go to say they are tooth less Tigers , I have only been offered HT for APC and that for me is just not good enough , in my initial  initial treatment i was not offered a prostectomy which for me would have been the obvious choice  then HT+RT , they also did not act when me PSA went from 0.5 to 2.5 , it was only prompting from my GP and my self that got the tests going again and now i`am faced with nothing only HT treatment that was stopped the first time because of the heart problems it causes , the whole thing stinks of ageism
