PET scan

I had a scan 4 weeks ago at the request of an MDT meeting, with a view to potential lung ablation. I have heard nothing since, despite chasing this up a week ago. Is there any time limit on how long such a scan remains "valid" or will much more of a delay mean that a further scan will be required?

Thanks for any advice you may be able to offer.

    Hi, I am so sorry you are going through this, having to wait for results is not nice. I have had 2 Pet scans previously and normally get an appointment date within about 2 weeks, although these results go to a medical board first which can slow it down a little but I would have expected some news by now, my advice would be to call again and be a little firm about needing answers. Wishing you the best results x
