I feel like I have something heavy in my rectal-anal portion, which is pressuring down and causing pain and discomfort. Recently I bleed ( blood was visible on the toilet paper) . Is that cancer?

Hello Lucaf and welcome to the forum. I have anal and bowel cancer as well as haemorrhoids and bleed occasionally from all three. The only time i get blood on the toilet paper is with haemorrhoids it's only ever in my stools with the cancer. Though i am not an expert, and you should see your GP. i would lean to haemorrhoids. probably internal. but please get it checked out take care,
Eddie
Hello and thanks for your post,
There may be many different reasons for the cause of your symptoms and they don't always mean a cancer diagnosis but it is always important to get any new symptoms checked just to rule anything serious out.
It is really only your GP who can assess the area and perhaps suggest some tests that can help find out the cause.
The Patients Association have some useful tips on how to get the most out of your appointment. Have a look at the information here
Try not to over think it for now but do make an appointment soon.
