Hi , how awful for you this waiting ! If it’s a USC ( urgent ) I understood that you should be seen within two weeks but I know that there is still a backlog . Try ringing your Gp again . I hope you get seen soon to put your mind at rest x

I’m not holding out much hope being seen soon. Appointments couldn’t even guarantee I would be seen within 8 weeks when I asked them. I know I’m probably worrying over nothing and that the chance of this being anything sinister is low but it’s still a worry. If I don’t hear in another 2-3 weeks I might phone again but I’m assuming the answer will still be the same and I’ll just have to wait until I move to the top of the list. X

That’s awful ! Hate to suggest it as it’s very expensive but do you have private healthcare ?? Could you go private ?

I don’t and can’t afford to see someone privately. I work for the NHS and have never thought I would ever think about going private but if I could afford it right now I would. I’ll just have to wait it out and hopefully get seen over the next few weeks. It’s going to be a long few weeks waiting. Trying to put it to the back of my mind but evert time I go for a shower I can feel the lump and it worries me x

That must be terrible waiting and worrying with no timescale for an appointment ,especially as you say you are reminded of it all the time you never know you could get your appointment through suddenly but there are so many people waiting longer than usual it seems to be getting worse not better ,let us know how you get on x

I know what you are going through , luckily I was seen within 4 weeks . Waiting is terrible and your brain works overtime .iIf I were you , I would phone and check

where you are on waiting list at breast clinic . Hoping things get sorted soon for you

When I spoke to appointments they wouldn’t give me any indication. Just said there was no waiting time guarantee. I asked if that meant it could be 4-8 weeks or longer and they said they couldn’t say either way so not any further forward. I asked if I didn’t hear anything in a few weeks coukd I phone back and they said I could but they wouldn’t be able to give me any further details and I wouldn’t be given an appointment over the phone a letter will be posted out when I was allocated an appointment so it’s just a waiting game x
