Good evening.
approx six weeks ago I was referred to the breast clinic by my GP after having pain in my left breast, this is not constant pain, it is intermittent through out every day. The appointment was a none emergency. A week prior to the referral I had had a lot of blood tests too, one of my white blood cells was low (not investigated) and my iron was very low, have started medication for this. For about a year I have had a tingling sensation in my back on left side of my shoulder blade and blunt pain, Iv had a chest x ray nothing has shown up. Iv not felt very well for months. Anyways I attended the breast clinic yesterday, (no other symptoms, no lumps apart from the intermittent pain in my left breast) I never expected anything to be wrong. The doctor examined both breasts then sent me for a mammogram and an ultrasound, they then told me that the mammogram and ultrasound sound had picked something up and they gave me a local anaesthetic and a core biopsy there and then, I get my results in two weeks time. I was in that much shock that Iv come away not knowing what they have found, all I remember them saying is something about abnormal tissue. Had anyone had a similar situation? I'm 38.
thank you
