Hi all,
I had an appointment today to have a mole on my back photographed, after being referred by my GP.
To cut a long story short, I had the wrong mole on my back photographed without realising. The one photographed was on the wrong side, although it looks fairly similar to the one I was referred over. It's more on myself for getting mixed up and not checking correctly at the appointment.
How do I go about dealing with this? Should I wait for the results to come through and contact the relevant department from there regardless of the results? Or should I contact the specialist that set up the referral and let them know what's happened?
I'll add that none of the referral is urgent and everything is very, very early signs, if anything at all.
Thanks for your help and being such a great community.
