Tonsil Cancer

Hello everyone I have just been told I have Tonsil Cancer I also have a swollen Lymph node. I have a young family band am very scared about leaving them. So far I have had my bloods taken. I due in the next 2 weeks to have 3 other tests. I am still working but this has knocked me for six. I am not afraid of operations my fear is has my cancer already spread to other parts of my body. Has anybody else been through this who can offer some advice. Thanks Fooman

    Hi Fooman Welcome to the club none of us want to join. I am 3 years post radiotherapy for tonsil cancer with several affected lymph nodes. I had 35 sessions of radiotherapy and 2 outcif a planned 3 Cisplatin Chemo. It’s nit easy I won’t lie but if u a 61 year old wimp of a female can do it so can you.     dont be scared tonsil cancer is eminently curable. 

    Treatments hard I won’t lie. But like I said it’s doabke. Hazel

    Thank you for your reply I have know idea if I am positive, but when I get a chance i will ask. All the Doctor said to me was that I had Tonsil Cancer and that I would need serguary and chemo and medication.I will keep positive and thank you for responding.     Thank you I am fine have dry mouth issues buy am riding my bike 50  km most days and living my life. Please ask about h p v status as it does make a difference as h p v tumours respond well
