fibroadenoma very painful

Hi, never posted on anything like this before, hope it's in the right place! I found a lump about 4-5 years ago and while I was having the ultersound they found another lump, which both turned out to be fibroadenomas thankfully. I could never feel the second lump, no idea it was there but the first lump has always been slightly painful also but over time it's got worse and is now constant and at times I could cry with the pain, it also seems to have grown in size quite a bit but not sure if it's just swollen from the pain. I have a strong family history of breast cancer and I am really worried. Searching and searching online but can't find much especially on the pain? Most say they're painless or slightly uncomfortable around the time of the month which isn't the case for mine. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what happened? Thank you for anyone who reads this

  • You need your mind settled. Googling will leave you in a spin. It's probably nothing but the only way to find out is to make that GP appointment.....xx

  • Hello sorry to hear you have pain, like you about 5 years ago I was diagnosed with a fibroadenoma, most of the time I don't even know it's there, 70% of the time I get pain when I have my monthly, and a few times (one being now) I get a sore throbbing pain in that area and it can be really tender to touch. Like you I do worry about it a lot, I suffer health anxiety so that makes it worse. But I do also suffer pain in the same place on the other breast(no lumps) it makes me wonder wether my bra is digging into the sides of my breasts and causin it to hurt. Maybe that could be your reason to(but I am not a doctor) hope this helps x
