Hell I am having a ct scan for a cyst on my ovary tomorrow.

Bot much info as to why just they don't know what it is, how was yours?

Good luck with your scan. Mine was fine, the most uncomfortable part was having some bloodwork done beforehand (apparently this is to check kidney function). The dye solution you drink isnt the nicest but the ultrasound scan they did was much more uncomfortable. They would not give my results but I later learned it confirmed what they saw in the ultrasound. 

Also the nurse did say they always do a ct scan before operating.  Are you expecting to have yours removed? My surgery will be happening soon, it was postponed due to falling pregnant.

I had a colonoscopy/ ct scan that showed bilateral complex cysts on both ovaries, after my clinic appointment l had a mri scan and bloods repeated, they were checking if the cysts had grown larger. I am having them removed 16 th October the surgeon said that it might not reduce the pain that l have on the left side. As l am post menopausal they advised surgery as the best option as they can be precancerous.

I see a gynaecology person 16 October, 

as scan my doctors words looks sinister , bloods were ok .

what ever happen s I won't the ovaries / cyst removed.

how long is your recovery ? 

I hope to have laparoscopic excision keyhole of my ovaries,tubes and  biopsies the surgeon did say it may all be stuck together due to previous surgery, which may mean laparotomy open surgery. If laparoscopic the recovery is 2/3 weeks open is more like up to 4/6 months. So fingers crossed that it's the easier op. I was admitted 28 September but cancelled due to lack of theatre time after waiting 7 hours, so it's COVID test Wednesday and isolation again for Saturday op. Hoping that it gets done this time.
