Anxious

Been feeling extremely anxious today as my endoscopy is tomorrow...

Anxiety medication doesn't seem to be helping today.

My consultant app for the 21st has been cancelled.

So does that mean I'll be told the out come  tomorrow

Hello to all on here by the way.

  • Brilliant news. So pleased for you xxx

  • I am absolutely spitting feathers. On the whole I have nothing but good praises for the ambulance service and the people who provide there care and asistance. Friday gone was asked to have my bloods taken in the afternoon.  I was surprised to get a phone call Saturday evening around 19.44 pm.   The doctor said my blood results had come back saying my globin was at a dangerously low level.  She said an ambulance would be with me within the hour. I required an IV so expect to be in hospital for couple of days.  I had only been out of hospital less than five days. and was a bit hesitant.  She told me this was important as it could cause me to have a cardiac arrest. So I said  it's that dangerous then. So I agreed.

It is now Sunday morning 12 hours later and I'm still awaiting the arrival of said ambulance.

Trying to find a contact number is impossible. So I'm taking it that my globin results are not deemed  a priority.  I'm just going to put this experince down to just my bad luck.

  • If I was you id call dr ASAP and explain things you were told , I've been told couple of times by Dr an ambulance was being sent, and checked with 999 an hour later still waiting to find out ambulance had not been called,or call 999or 111 to check for any details they can give you.

Good luck whatever is going on .

    Billy

  • Thanks Billygoat.

But unfortunate for me I had to endure a four week stay in hospital. left with an inflamed hand due to bloods and canula's  in the hand.. My bloods are still not right. but they have said they have me a a safe level.  I was then transferred to a midlands transplant unit to under go tests to see if I was or would be fit enough to last an 8 to 10 hour operation,  Unfortunately my blood levels took another dip while I was at the assessment.  I have to return next year to find out if I have any hidden problems with my heart.  I was told because I am diabetic and have been on medication for 16 years now. they have said that diabetes can hide certain problems, such as heart disease or leaking valves. early signs are they do not think I am fit enough. so I'm out and about trying to get myself the best chance possible. first week I felt I was like Frank Spencer of some mothers do have'em. accident prone. like falling down some stairs and spraining my left ankle. so hopefully 2022 will be a better year for me.

  • Heeeey how's it going? I see like me you have severe health anxiety too. Hence the friend request.

Would love to know how you cope xx
