I'm having an endoscopy and colonoscopy this morning and I'm beyond anxious. I've barely slept, and I'm scared of the procedure and of the results.

I've struggled for weeks with all of this..

I'm just like you worried out of my mind

Shaking and stomach with intense knots..

I'm frightened of what they'll find..

I will of course, I'm sorry this has dragged on for so long for you I can't imagine how difficult that must have been.

I'm in the endoscopy suite now, I'm shaking and lightheaded, feel like my legs won't carry me, not sure how I walked down the stairs.

It's the tube down the throat I'm really struggling with but I will ask or sedation. I haven't eaten for 24 hours so I hope it will kick in quick and hard, even just for the first bit

I know what you mean about the tube... I gag cleaning my teeth :-(

Hi they do put a spray on the back of your throat so you don't feel anything there,but you can feel it further down, just uncomfortable and odd times you feel like you want to bring it up but it bearable, when they finished mine I got a paper with details of what they found and there were some pictures of my throat and lower down 4in all down to 2nd part duodenum, where they found I had a hiatus hernia .   Then straight home for a good meal and drink.  Lovley.   

People there are experts and do everything they can to help you relax remember positive thinking.

I get they give you a report if things are OK but.... 

 if something was nasty would they tell you??

Morning it depends on hospital really some would some send details to specialist nomatter what good or bad , when I had biopsy nurse who did it told me while I was still on table then told me to go wait in a small office a specialist came in and after small talk for a while told me I had cancer,I said I know the nurse told me, she said excuse me a minute she went out and played hell because, nurse shouldn't have told me then came back and apologized I said it was ok.

Like i say it varies depending on hospital but hope you find out waiting isn't good especially if good news.

My nerves are shot this morning.. Got to wait for hours!

The ct didn't seem to good so...... 

I had endoscope yesterday and didnt feel a thing or remember anything, its wasnt bad at all xx

I know you'll be in your appointment now, hope all goes well. I was seen on a 2ww referral following anaemia back in March and a positive fit test following an episode of rectal bleeding in June.

My colonoscopy was clear, my endoscopy shows mild reflux oesophagitis. 2 biopsies were taken - a D2 biopsy and a gastric biopsy.

Oh that's good news I'm pleased for you xx

They said everything appears normal I literally cried buckets

No biopsies taken.

I still have to talk to my gp about the dilated duct.

I can't believe it I'm shocked xx
