Hi! I've just been referred to the breast clinic as I've found a small lump... at this stage, I know it could be any number of things so trying not to worry... I've never been to a breast clinic (too young for routine screening) so I wanted some practical advice on what might happen during and after? I've got 3 kids at primary school so really need to know what I'm dealing with so I can get husband/friends/family to step in if needed... particularly with all the covid restrictions etc I'd rather have a plan in place...
I know that what will happen at the appt might vary depending on what they find, but if I do need some kind of biopsy I'm wondering how long the appointment might take, will I be able to drive myself home and do the school run that day or should I make other plans? My appt is first thing (9.30). Will it hurt for long afterwards etc? I've read the official stuff but have found from previous experiences its massively downplayed and 'some discomfort' equals complete agony/cant move...
Any advice/things you wished you'd known beforehand would be great.
thanks x
