How long a wait - breast lump?

I found a lump last weekend, between 20p and 50p size and obv concerned. Phoned gp last Monday and had to wait until today to speak to gp expecting to go and have it seen but now have to wait until next Tuesday to go in (and aware it will be another wait after that if I need investigations).  That seems a torturous wait.. But maybe normal at the moment? They have asked anything about size, location, symptoms..

Any advice welcome (in Scotland if that makes any difference)

    I'm in the same boat but North West England, GP hasn't got any appointments until 3 weeks and that's just to be seen by them before any referrals etc which will probably result in another 2 week wait. So I'm waiting until the 20th for an appointment which isn't great for the good old anxiety. 

    I hope that you managed to schedule your appointment earlier! 

    I've been told by friends to call up and ask if they have any cancellations in the meantime to try and get an emergency appointment, not sure if the procedure will be slightly different with your surgeries though.
