  • Hi Crooky and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

Many of our members have had the same results so hopefully some of them will pick up on your post soon and will pop by to share their experiences and advice.

  • Hi [@Crooky]‍ I use this forum as someone who has recently been dealing with breast cancer but I saw your post and wanted to jump on with a reply as I had experience of this in the past and it had a happy ending.

When I was 21, I found out I had HPV and severe dyskarosis (CIN 3). It was a massive shock! I had a cone biopsy at the time. A few years later when I was about 25, my regular smears picked up that I had cell changes back again - this time, moderate (CIN2) dyskarosis and that was promptly treated, this time with a LLETZ procedure.

After that all was well and my smears remained normal. I then had a hysterectomy at the age of 39 - that was not due to any cervical issues but because I had a long history of endometriiosis and such terrible pelvic pain I decided to go down that route as I had had my children by then. I'm now 52.

The great news is it that yours has been caught now while it is pre-cancerous and you should be in good hands with your treatment.

Wishing you lots of best wishes and hope my message can provide some reassurance xx

  • Thank you for replying. I hope you're doing ok xx
