Scared I may have prostate cancer. High PSA result.

Hi

I have had a result of 29.2 for a PAS test, I am an active 65 years old, I am really worried I may have prostate cancer, things have moved so fast from blood test to rectial examination, due to see a specialist soon. I am frantic with worry and dont know what to say or do regards my family??

    Hi sometimes PSA rise is due to infection.

    Just tell people you could have medical problems still having tests you'll tell them more when you know more.

    I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in Feb 2016 PSA was 1580 ,IF and I say IF it is prostate cancer you'll have plenty of options for treatment and specialists to help you along the way.   Hope you soon get things moving whatever it is.
