Struggling today
Hello Fallmare,
Right here with you. A week ago my life was normal with just localised pain which they thought was perhaps an anal fissure at the very most. I didn't really have "typical symptoms".
Fast forward a week and I've had 2 CT scans with contrast - liver & lungs (just found out clear today! A small win but I'll take it!).
I've also had MRI brain, neck, spine, pelvis. I'll be a magnet by the end of this!!!
My colonoscopy is tomorrow but the surgeon has already seen it has grown through my bowel wall and there's a shadow in the pelvic area and some lymph nodes showing up. So although I don't know what type the tumour is, nor the grade, it's still a tumour.
It's the rollercoaster no one wants to get on. But I can't turn back the clock and I have 2 little girls who need a mummy so I'm going to put on my big girl pants and rock up to that colonoscopy tomorrow like I mean business!
Information is coming at me non stop... chemo, radiation, resection, stoma bag ... in the dark hours when I'm awake in my own it seems insurmountable. But all these other lovely people on here that have done this or are on their journey with us means we have support.
Please feel free to private message me, big virtual hugs to all of us! Let's give it our best shot!
