I'm just posting to reassure you that even if you have a positive result all may be ok. I had a positive FIT test a few weeks ago and had a letter to say I would be getting a call to discuss it. A colonoscopy was arranged, and I was out of my mind with worry.  The prep for the colonoscopy was awful but bearable although I didn't sleep at all the night before and was seriously considering running away even as I sat in the waiting area. I have to say everyone I had contact with was absolutely lovely and the colonoscopy was more or less painless (I opted for sedation but didn't feel sedated at all). It turns out I have internal haemorrhoids, even though my G.P had declared definitely didn't have them when I had told him I was bleeding on more than one occasion. I'm both relieved and grateful, but also I have thought so much about all the people having less good news. I hope it's eventually good news for you. Take it a step at a time and go and get any tests you are offered.
