Bit worried. Waiting the result of a FIT test for bowel cancer. Rang my GP surgery on Friday for the results. Receptionist said no-one was available to talk to me but a doctor would ring me on Monday. I asked the receptionist if they had the tests back and they said yes and that "nothing had been flagged". I took that to mean my test was normal and there was nothing to worry about. Phew! However, today I received a text message to say I have an appointment at 10.30 tomorrow at the surgery. Why do I need to see a doctor face-to-face if the test was negative? Does anyone know if 'nothing is flagged' on the test result that the receptionist sees if this means the result is negative? I'm not sure how to interpret it. Thanks.
