Has anyone any updates also happening to me? 

Hi BumbleBeep :) I wish I had more info for you, I have no updates on my end... bloodwork, ultrasound, paptest all came back normal. No infections. And this has been happening for 13 months for me..

Update from me….had an ultrasound which showed the endometrial lining was thick, 8mm. So had a hysteroscopy and biopsy. So waiting on the results of that. Still having constant brown discharge with occasional blood. Thinking of you all x

I've been having the same symptoms for the last 35 days and it's driving me insane. 

It all started with a normal period but I bled for 9 days instead of the regular 4 and it was heavier than normal. Then I had constant brown discharge. Stopped for 1 day, had sex and boom, started bleeding fresh blood again for another 3 days. Back to brown blood, had a bowel movement and back to red blood, back to brown, had my normal period again but only the 4 days this time, had a week of brown, now back to heavy bleeding after bowl movement.

Ive had continual lower abdomen pain (like period, with sharper pain on my left side. Also lower back pain to my right side.

I had my pap done in Feb and it came back clear. 2 weeks ago I had a pelvic exam and swabs. Swabs came back clear and nurse said my cervix looked healthy. She also told me to book another appt if symptoms weren't getting better. Rang on Wed but they can't get me in until May 9th. 

I'm just so sick of the bleeding and abdominal pain now, it's getting me down

Hi I don't know if anyone is still coming on here. But I'm a nervous wreck I'm 32 years of age with 2 children. I have started bleeding bright red blood after bowel movement and brown blood in between. I don't have any belly pains and my period isn't due for another 7 days! I have a smear booked in for tomorrow and I'm so nervous. I've had a bad smear result before but that was nearly 5 years ago. Anxiety is starting to over take. X

Hi everyone, It's so easy to get super worried and think the worst. I am by no means qualified as a doctor but it's good to remember in most cases bleeding is caused by something that is not malignant. Check NHS website for further information. During my lifetime 50+ I have experienced this on numerous occasions. And I have been so worried every single time. I had cell growth that was easily treated as early stage. It takes decades in most cases for it to develop to something more serious. I had cysts and fibroids that caused bleeding too. Hormonal changes during a life cycle, including taking HRT or birth control can cause changes that can lead to bleeding. Particular if you change your HRT or birth control. Always get a second opinion if you are not happy with your GP. You know your body best. Never wait to seek help. And remember - almost every case will have a positive outcome. Stay strong everyone. 

I've just been for my smear and have been told I will have my results in 2 weeks. Hoping everything will come back normal. The nurse put me at ease today so I'm hoping for the anxiety to dissappear x

I know this post was a long time ago. I'm wondering what your outcome was? I'm a 44 year old mother of 3 young children and I have the exact same symptoms as you had. I'm now very worried.

I know all these threads are really old but did anyone get a diagnosis or find out why this bleeding happens ? 
I bleed when I go for a bowel movement my periods are long with more light bleeding for days before it becomes normal/heavy so my period can be up to 10 days long . 
I’ve had some swabs taken because I suffer from vaginal thrush constantly the doctor treats it with long courses of fluconazole then if comes back. 
waiting to see gynaecologist but long waiting list. 
I was diagnosed with endomyosis which is similar to endometriosis but the tissues and muscles from the uterus fuse together .

I'm currently going through the same thing and my doctor says it's perimenopause although I'm still worried it's something more serious. After blood tests, an ultrasound and up to date smear test my doctor said there are no indications of a growth or cancer cells which is my main concern.

Ive just started HRT so will work with the doctor to get the bleeding under control for now. 

I think the only other thing I could do is to pay for a CT / MRI scan as the doctor won't refer me for one. Perhaps it is just perimenopause.

• I went back to the dr( who was actually really lovely) who said that it was acute vaginal dryness. She gave me some vaginal lubricants and told me to use aqueous cream to wash with. It’s been fine for a couple of months and then the bleeding (only when I poo) started again this week - which was weird as it coincided with your enquiry! I know I need to go back to the dr, but keep delaying it. 
  I think you need to go back to your dr too. And anyone else reading this. It is a comfort to know I’m not the only one.
