Hello, I know there is a few posts about cervix abnormalities but I didn't want to jump on anyone else's post really especially when all I have is questions.

I had a telephone appointment with the dr last week basically because I thought my hormones are not on track. I keep having abnormal bleeding and bleed after sex, I've had this before and it hasnt been anything they could pinpoint but I cant ignore it when it started up again so I phoned wondering if I could have a blood test or something. He asked me to go in today to examine my cervix ect honestly I had no worries my smears are up to date I'm not due one till the end of this year and I just have symptoms I've had before.

My cervix has a visable abnormality on one side. Hes put me on the 2week thing (sorry my head is a little jumbled) and although he did mention other suggestions of what it could be I don't feel very confident right now. 

Anyway the point of my post is, what happens? I know I've had an urgent referral to gynaecology at the hospital which has to be within 14days but what will they do? Would it be a biopsy or futher swobs or something else? I just need to feel prepared for what may happen so if anyone could respond with what theyve had or what may happen I would be extremely grateful.
