Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can understand how you must feel - the waiting for results is never easy. I'm not sure if you were given a timeframe within which to expect results, but if you haven't heard anything after around three weeks you could always call to check, as usually biopsy results are received within this time.

Thank you for replying.

We got a letter appointment in the post but that was not until June which seemed a long time to wait for biopsy results. We contacted the hospital and they have now sent an appointment which is in two weeks time. The wait would have been so tough as my husband suffers from a mental health condition too. Even though we have a fortnight to wait it's still a very anxious wait. All we can do is hope and pray for the best outcome. 

That is amazing news AGAP - we are so pleased that it turned out to be nothing sinister.

Can I ask was it an ulcer he had on his tongue? I have had an ulcer for 4 months & have a hospital appointment Friday. It's a white ulcer but doctor said it should of gone by now so referred me

My husband just had a white patch on his tongue which wouldn't scrape off and for that reason was sent for a biopsy. He still needs it monitored to be on safe side. I hope your appointment goes well on Friday and when results come back I hope it's good news for you..  Stay strong and positive xxxx
