Hi Meelibo I'm sorry your having so much anxiety over your blood tests and your chest xray,but all  I csn say is try to stay positive and don't Google anything anymore it will just  make you worry over things even more.  Try to stay positive about it all , sometimes it isn't as bad as you imagine ,Hospital are now seeing more people face to face ,and  I don't think.its a cause to alarm yourself over this. When it comes to getting results there appear to be no hard and fast rules.  Each consultant has their own preferred way of giving results, and it is really common to get called to a face to face consultation, only to be told that you don't have cancer or any other serious problem!  Stuff that you might think could be far more efficiently put into a letter or delegated to a nurse to make a phone call.

So, you really should not make any assumptions about your test results. Fingers crossed for you that you get the all clear.

PS: On second thoughts, there is one hard and fast rule: if you're ever told you'll get the results by phone, text, letter, email, carrier pigeon, etc, then you can be 100% certain that you most definitely will NOT get the results that way.  This is simply nature's way of reminding you that the NHS is a large and complex organisation that moves in mysterious ways, and no-one can ever truly hope to understand it.
