  • Hello Razcom

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing some testicle pain over the past few days. As it's not resolved then it would be sensible to get things checked by your GP for your own peace of mind.

    I hope things settle soon.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Razcom. Welcome to the forum.

I should start out by saying that I'm not a doctor, but I have suffered from testicular pain off and on for years.

Your pain appears to have come on suddenly, which makes me wonder if you're suffering from a bacterial infection with the tongue twisting name of epididymitis.  This is NOT a sexually transmitted disease - it just seems to pop up out of nowhere.  I can attest that the pain can be excruciating at times, although often it's just a mild niggle.  The pain with epididymitis is usually at the top of one testicle.

Of course, this is no more than a guess and you really do need to get checked out by a doctor.  If the pain gets very bad over the weekend don't hesitate to call NHS 111.  They will put you through to a doctor who may want to examine you and might prescribe antibiotics or some other medicine.  If you can manage over the weekend, call your GP first thing monday morning.

You can take the normal dose of paracetamol for the pain, following the dosage instructions on the pack, but don't assume that because the paracetamol has taken away the pain, the problem has gone away!
