Supraclavicular Lymph Node.. Worried!!!!

Hello All,

I recently had my covid vaccine - I noticed my shoulder / collarbone was sensitive when I touched it a day after I noticed I had a small, moveable, lump.

I spoke to the GP on the phone (because of covid) she said it's likely a lymph node from the jab. I went away and still wasn't happy as no one saw me... so I called back and spoke to a different GP... she didn't sound worried either, but called me in... I saw her, she felt it and didn't blink an eye lid... but said she would give me a blood test for peace of mind.

I rang back to get the results and spoke to a further GP... my blood tests were completely normal.... I explained it to him too and he also didn't seem like he was concerned.

I work at a private hospital, so went to see a consultant dermatologist on his lunch break ( he has had a special interest in lumps and bumps for 28 years ) - he wasn't worried, said it was small like a little finger tip size, it was moveable etc... and then he said come and see me in three weeks for a follow up. I went back, he said there's been no change. So he wasn't worried...

I have severe health anxiety and Google is sending me through the roof...

has anyone had a supraclavicular node story and it not be sinister??

I suffer with breast acne, could this cause the swelling???

  • Hi Freddie,

I've had exactly the same. Swollen supraclavicular lymph node on the left side after my first COVID jab (same side as jab). I then had the next two jabs on the other side with no reaction. But the left side never went down completely. The node is still slightly enlarged and comes and goes as it pleases. Seems to be connected to heat somehow. I, too, feel that it will probably stay that way. Not a great feeling.

I had it checked out last year and the specialist said it was nothing to worry about. But that's easier said than done, isn't it?

  • Hi, do u mind if I ask a question, my nodule is left side, but I also have a tender to touch collarbone by the nodule, and aching left shoulder, are u getting this or just a lump

  • Hi. Mine is generally just the lump but it does occasionally ache a little. I have had a follow up appointment and now been discharged as the dr is confirming it's Covid related. I am glad I got it checked out again. Hope you are ok xxx

  • Mine appeared after covid jab January 2021 and it's still there today. Too scared to get it checked out it's not getting any bigger it's the same size it has always been. it's only detectable if you press your hands right into the area. I think it's a was a reactive node that didn't go back to normal size (I think that can happen sometimes).
