Breast referral

Hi everyone

i would absolutely appreciate it if anyone has been in. SimilAr situation.  I have had a painful left boob for about 2 weeks now. It's grew in size feels full. It used to be smaller than my right but is it's slightly bigger than my right. Always a full feeling and aches painful. My nipple area is super sensative as of I've just had a baby but I hAvnt Went to the gp yesterday and she said my boob is "lumpy" so has referred me.  Thank be lay down and felt my boob and in both boobs they are lumps. Like loads of little lumps pea size everywhere. The left boob is just even more lumpier than the right.  But it's continuing to swell . I also have a infection in armpit due to ingrown hair so she's put me on antibiotics.   Has anyone else been through this.  I suffer with severe health anxiety so having all this happen yesterday I'm really struggling to even focus and live life normally.  So many unknowns and I'm just so so scared   I keep over feeling my boobs and now im Finding so many lumps and bumps.   This all started after my period

  • Hello Tara67,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long to be seen. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
