I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling anxious about your recent PSA results and the subsequent hospital referral. 

The PSA test is a blood test to help detect prostate cancer. But it's not perfect and will not find all prostate cancers. A raised PSA level in your blood may be a sign of prostate cancer, but it can also be a sign of another condition that's not cancer, such as an enlarged prostate, prostatitis or even a urinary infection. 

We know that this period of waiting for appointments and tests can be difficult for many people. Many thanks just awaiting my appointment on the 23/03 still a little worried have been reading up a bit so hoping I'm panicking unnecessarily , thank you for replying.
