I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been dealing with some health concerns. It's not uncommon to have HPV and abnormal cells but we also know that many women feel worried about this when they receive this news. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for your appointment but if you're able to attend at short notice then it may be worth giving the hospital a call to see if they have cancellation appointments.

changes and hpv.

Hey am still waiting for appt for colposcopy but I spoke to doctor yesterday and she said that my changes were slight in jan then mild in December she said that I need to remember it's mild so prob won't be cancer after the convo I feel so much better just hope she's right. 

Have your nurse or doctor explained your results to you it's maybe worth getting an appt and asking it has made me feel better might with you whilst you wait

i dont, im going on wed for my colposcopy. 

I am worried about the HPV as ive clearly had it for long enough to start causing changes and ill always have it now as im almost 40.

my changes came back as borderline

im praying itll be okay x

Had my colposcopy at 130 today. she put the dye on and said that no cells showed up so no need for a biopsy. she was happy to discharge me for 3 years but to put my mind at rest said have another smear in 12 months. 

she said cells may well have developed then but its not enough time to develop anything serious and told me to go and forget about it.

ive been a nervous wreck and feel so drained now x

That's good news is it not? Must feel like a weight has been lifted am still waiting for an appt am taking it as no news good news x

when was your smear? i think anything major and they would be getting you in quicker xx

I paid privately for mine. Havent got the money but no way I could have waited until May for it.

the lady was very reassuring today, told me even if its severe changes, they treat them and it doesnt mean anything bad.

you seem rational enough to know itll be okay, unlike me who literally fell apart x
