Brief background I'm 19 with no family history of stomach cancer but I'm half Japansese and it's more common there. My grandma has also had breast cancer twice and my grandad died from a brain tumour when my dad was 15. I know it's highly unlikely but I'm scared I have possible gastric cancer. I have had indigestion every couple of weeks starting October 2018 after going to Venice and over indulging in pasta (I think). My mum always said it was probably gastritis and my only symptom was burning in my upper abdomen that went away after 4 hours so I never went to my GP. At the end of january I was reffered to ENT on the cancer pathway because of a swollen tonsil. This seemed to make my problem flare up and since the 6th of February I have had burning pretty much constantly along with it radiating across my chest and back, hiccuping whenever I drink water, nausea, inconsistent bowel movements (look different everyday with small amount of mucus the past few days), feeling of gas in my stomach and some weight loss (around 5kg since Christmas). I was prescribed omeprazole but it didn't really help and am now waiting for coeliac disease and inflammatory marker blood test. My doctor, of course, said it's highly unlikely and isn't even considering it but I'm terrified that I've just left it too late.
