Hello, my grandad has been poorly for a good while and he has been back and forth from the drs. Firstly he was told over the phone it was piles when he rang to speak to the GP, but she didn't see him because of covid. He has been having more symptoms and rang again and the dr wanted to see him. She examined him and said she felt a growth in his colon/rectum and she said she was pretty sure it was cancer. He has a scan a week today and we are all really worried as he has been poorly for a while. What will he expect whilst he goes for the appointment? And can I please have anyone let me know what their experience was as I've read if symptoms show its most of the time too late? I really hope that's not the case! I'm trying to stay positive it's really hard not being able to see him either because of this virus. Thank you xx
