MRI 2 weeks ago no results yet is that a good sign ?

I had my mri 2 weeks ago today as they told me I would get results within 2 weeks I thought I would give them a call today and I got told its not been reported yet I got referred to ENT due to swollen neck under jaw and possible salivary gland stone but I can't help but think it is something worse but now I'm wondering if its a case of no news is good news .... anyone know if its normal to wait or is its because they didn't find anything that I havent heard

    Hi Teenie82.

    It's neither good news nor bad news.  It seems that many people are waiting for results and the delays are getting longer.  I'm a little surprised the papers have picked this up, because it seems to be getting worse, and was even before Covid.

    It might be worth checking with your GP surgery to see if the results are available via their computer system. I've often found out results of hospital tests faster by asking my GP rather than waiting to hear from the hospital.

    Thank you for your reply , I did phone gp as I was told they wanted a liver blood test also and hadn't heard anything so asked her and she had nothing either :( guess I will just have to play the waiting game a little longer with alot of other people
