Waiting for the result really is the worst time.  Most of us have been through it and we all just how nerve-wracking it is.

The results may now be available for access by your GP on their computer system.  It would be worth phoning up the GP surgery to ask.

As for the feeling it's growing back - that could just be a natural part of the healing process, and some non-cancerous lesions do also grow back. 

I'm afraid you can't read anything into how long it takes to get the results back to you. And very often when you're told you'll receive the results one way, you end up receiving them by an entirely different route!  In fact, that happens so frequently you can almost rely on it.  So if you've been told you'll get a phone call, don't be too surprised if you get a letter asking you to an appointment!  And don't read anything into that, either!  Many consultants simply prefer to give results, good or bad, face to face; that way, they can answer any follow up questions you might have. 

I had a Voice mail today to say they will have my final results Tues! I was told my results were back sk this is now making me worry what is final results! Maybe tested again I'm confused 

Possibly this is after a review by the MDT (multi-disciplinary team) for the speciality. 

I found a neat definition of what the MDT does on a NHS hospital website: The MDT comprises specialist doctors and nurses, who meet regularly to establish that every patient's diagnosis is correctly made, based on blood and tissue samples, X-rays and scans.

Note that the important word here is "every".  That means every patient goes through the system, whether the results are good or bad. 

In my own experience, I had a CT last year, and this picked up an unexpected issue with the veins around a kidney.  Later on, they wrote back to say the MDT had examined the scan and decided this was nothing to worry about.
