Talk me back from Google!!

Hi I've been diagnosed with endometriosis since 2005, adenomyosis since 2014, I've always had 'gynae' problems which has left me with infertility issues (miscarriages and ectopic pregnancy) I've been through failed IVF treatments, I was gearing myself up for an IVF cycle in April but I've been having a lot of pain, cramping, bloating and breakthrough bleeding (i'm on zoladex injections for the IVF cycle to hopefully surpress the adenomyosis) I'm also completely exhausted all the time, could sleep 14hrs a day if it wasnt for the fact I need the toilet every 30 minutes! After going to my GP he sent me for a CA125 test which came back at 467 so he has booked a fast track gynae appointment...to say I'm worried is an understatement! I've obviously made the mistake of googling but not feeling reasurred by the low % of ovarian cancer rates for my age (46) I have read the high CA125 level could be caused by endometriosis, fibroids, cysts etc and I have all these but cant help but fear the worst!

  • Hi,welcome to the site, i only joined a few days ago.I have prostate cancer and was looking at what different options i have.I don't know anything about your condition,I'm a bloke,we don't know anything about female problems.I know were rubbish. What I did was keep reading all the pages,i started at page 1 and got up to 50,still a lot of pages left still.I'm sure u will find some post that relate to your problem,i found quite a few about mine and also posted a few comments when they were not as far down the road as me with my condition.Hops u find some posts that help. Have a nice day.Try not to worry,i know it easier said than done. But just try to stay positive.Sorry I can't help u,but good luck in the future. Best wishes john

  • Hi John, thanks for the reply, sorry to hear about your diagnosis, to be honest female conditions are a mystery to some females too!! I've become somewhat of an obsessive over the years after being fobbed off by lots of doctors! Since writing my post I have stepped back from the edge a fair bit and stopped googling! I am of course still a bit concerned but I'm trying to stay positive, no point in stressing over something that more than likely wont materialise!

Best wishes to you too, hoping you have lots of pain free days and happy times.

  • Hi Frankie.
