Could they tell it was a fibroadenoma at the scan or did they take a biopsy?

I really hope your appointment letter comes through soon and they can put your mind at rest. If the lump becomes sore and inflamed, could it possibly be an infection? Look out for your temp just in case. Happy new year to you too xx

The waiting and not knowing is so tough! I can't even imagine how you must be feeling with your husbands up coming surgery and the waiting. I hope you get your biopsy results through sooner rather than later.

I think I will call the clinic next week and see if they can fit me in sooner. It feels too long to wait...I had some pain and tenderness over the last few days that has now reduced. The lump itself is slightly less obvious than it was when I was examined at GP (no idea if this is a good or bad sign).

Have been called in to see the consultant next week so it's not looking good. I am pretty sure they only call you in if it is cancer. Feeling numb but also quite calm and resilient and ready to take on what is to come.

Yes, unfortunately it was cancer. Having lots of scans at the moment to get staging then will be chemo.

I'm feeling ok, a bit scared, but mostly just want to get on with the treatment and get this cancer out of me. 
 

When is your scan? I really hope it's good news for you x

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear your diagnosis was cancer I was really hoping for you that it would be benign. You are right though after that news you just want treatment ASAP.

My appointment is on Tuesday. I'm a bit scared but really need to know what we are dealing with

Just a quick update. I had mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy taken today. The Dr and Radiographer said they were 99% sure it is a fibroadenoma but obviously I have to wait until the biopsy results for all clear.
