Strange bowel movement

Hi

 

For the past 5 weeks I have had diarrhoea every night, usually between 3-5 times, has anyone else any experience with this? I have always been fortunate to wake up and have a normal bowel movement up until this, I have lower back ache particularly the right side, thank you

    I'm sorry to hear that you've had some ongoing health problems. You don't mention in your post if you've spoken to your GP about this and as the issue hasn't resolved it would seem sensible to speak with your GP about things. 

    I do hope the problem resolves soon.

    Hi Gillyjohnny.  Welcome to the forum.

     

    You didn't say how old you are. Have you passed any blood?  Have you seen your GP?

     

    I'm not a doctor and I have no medical qualifications.  I do, however, have 40+ years personal experience with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

     

    There's no immediate reason to think of cancer. This could be a bug or maybe the beginnings of IBS, or something else completely.  If you haven't already, you should see your doctor soon.  This doesn't look like it's going to clear up by itself.

    Hi, I am 46 and I've had one stool sample test for bacteria which was clear, I have seen some black bits in my poo and the FIT test was positive
